Our Client

The client is a well renowned construction firm that has been growing fast due to high demand for their services within the North West and operates nationally. With an organised finance structure, they are looking for a new head to come on board and support a Finance Business Partner closely whilst working with the wider team. Located in the city centre of Manchester, their offices are an easy commute for everyone including those using public transport.

Job Responsibilities:

The primary function of the Accounts Assistant role will be to:

  • Prepare and review weekly cash forecast and presentation to the reporting teams including senior management
  • Production of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting with the production of month-end and quarter-end reporting
  • Preparation of intra group recharges and assistance with service charges
  • Analysis of actuals vs forecast and consolidated quarterly cash plan
  • Working closely with the a Finance Business Partner on review the group business plan
  • Challenging internal stakeholders and providing them with relevant information on group reportings
  • Assisting with year end audit queries where needed
  • Ad-hoc duties as required by line manager

Successful Applicant:

The successful applicant for the role of Accounts Asssitant will have:

  • Be part qualified with studies including ACA/CIMA/ACCA/AAT
  • Previous experience of working in a finance department
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Confidence in using MS Excel, with abilty to use VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables
  • Strong desire to progress within a finance role and become qualified
  • Fantastic organisation with ability to prioritise
  • Bring a positive attitude and be willing to embed themselves within the business
