About the Client:
A nationally renowned and respected Construction business that is looking to add extra support to the team with an immediate starter in the role of Purchase Ledger Clerk – Maternity Cover. Being a well established business there will be a defined role for a new starter with possibility to go permanent upon impressing in the role.
Job Description:
The role of Purchase Ledger Clerk – Maternity Cover requires someone who is able to hit the ground running and be comfortable in a fast paced environment taking on responsibility for allocated ledger work.
The responsibilities of the role will include:
- Inputting a high volume of invoices (up to 100 per day) on to the purchase ledger using the COINS systems
- Maintaining the invoice register including unmatched invoices
- Making sure appropriate authorisation has been obtained for invoices
- Managing queries from internal and external stakeholders
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Involvement in processing of payment runs
- Processing staff expenses
- Maintaining administrative control of the ledger to ensure compliance in line with audit and established protocols
- Ad-hoc tasks as required by Line Manager
The Successful Applicant:
The successful applicant for the role of Purchase Ledger Clerk – Maternity Cover will have:
- Previous experience in a purchase ledger role (ideally high volume)
- Be immediately available or able to start on a short notice period
- Confident in using Microsoft products and accounting software (COINS preferred)
- Strong communicator both written and verbally
- Be detail orientated
