About the Client:
A FTSE 250 Financial Services business located in Salford is looking to grow their Credit Control function by hiring a new head to work on a hybrid model. An incredibly forward looking business that is able to offer flexibility and a strong culture based on progression and meritocracy. Ideal role for anyone who is able to commute to Salford up to 3 days a week with amazing public transport links and parking nearby.
Job Description:
Day to Day responsibility of the Credit Controller will be:
- Resolve client payment queries
- Ownership of a ledger book and key customers
- Working with multiple stakeholders across the business to ensure invoicing and credit requests are in line with agreed SLA’s
- Provide regular updates on customer debtor status to Line Manager
- Working to collect aging debt by liasing with clients finance teams
- Regular account reconciliations
- Contacting customers to obtain payments (primarily email and written communication)
- Undertaking training and development to be able to contribute to the wider finance team
- Ad hoc tasks as required by Line Manager
The Succesful Applicant:
The successful candidate for the role of Credit Controller will:
- Previous experience in a Credit Control position or Customer Service role
- Excellent Communication skills (Written and Verbal)
- Outstanding numeracy skills
- Be confident in using Finance Systems (Sage) and Microsoft Excel
- Keen to learn and develop a career in Finance
