• Lead and manage audit engagements for a variety of clients in a growing regional practice
• Contribute to the establishment and growth of the audit function within the firm

About the Client:

A growing regional practice with offices located across the North West, this Audit Assistant Manchester role will be located out of the Central Manchester office. The practice is going through a period of continued growth and is now looking to firmly establish an Audit division in addition to their traditional accounting services. There will be ample opportunity for career progression within the business, with almost all Partners being internally trained from early career starts with the practice. Hybrid working is available, however the nature of the roles means the candidate may need to be on site and in office depending on requirements.

The Audit Assistant Manager will be responsible for:

• Plan and execute audit assignments for a variety of clients
• Supervise and train junior team members
• Review work of junior team members to ensure it meets necessary standards
• Maintain strong client relationships and communication
• Meet deadlines and manage workload effectively
• Stay up-to-date on industry developments and changes in auditing standards
• Contribute to the growth and development of the audit function within the firm
• Participate in business development activities to generate new audit clients for the firm
• Manage and lead audit engagements
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

The ideal Audit Assistant Manager will have:

• A professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA)
• At least 3 – 5 years of experience in an audit role, including experience in a leadership or management position
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of auditing standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
