About the Client:

A well renowned regional client who is a specialist in Procurement & Supply Chain that is looking to expand out of the North West into the wider area and nationally is looking to expand their Finance with an additional Credit Controller (Part Time). With visions of expanding, they are looking to establish SOP’s as they grow and modernise the credit control function to futureproof the business and manage aged debt. With a hybrid role with lots of built in flexibility in a supportive work environment, they have a strong culture established by the Finance Director. Located in Old Trafford, Manchester they are easily commutable by both public transport with links to the Met and by Car with free parking on site. Hybrid working is the norm within the business with further flexibility on hours available.

Job Description:

Day to Day responsibility of the Credit Controller (Part Time) will be:

• Resolve client payment queries
• Ownership of a ledger book and key customers
• Working with multiple stakeholders across the business to ensure invoicing and credit requests are in line with agreed SLA’s
• Provide regular updates on customer debtor status to Line Manager through weekly reporting
• Working to collect aging debt by liaising with clients finance teams
• Regular account reconciliations
• Contacting customers to obtain payments (primarily email and written communication)
• Undertaking training and development to be able to contribute to the wider finance team
• Ad hoc tasks as required by Line Manager

The Successful Applicant:

The successful candidate for the role of Credit Controller (Part Time) will:

• Previous experience in a Credit Control position or Customer Service role
• Excellent Communication skills (Written and Verbal)
• Outstanding numeracy skills
• Be confident in using Finance Systems (Sage) and Microsoft Excel
• Keen to learn and develop within the credit function
