About the Client:

A growing multinational manufacturing business located in South West Manchester (Urmston), is looking to add to their close knit finance team by bringing in an Accounts Assistant in a varied role with great exposure across the finance function. Reporting into an engaged and supportive manager who is interested in adding value to someone’s career by providing them opportunities to perform a range of tasks in a growing SME business. In an easily commutable from the surrounding area of Stretford and access from M60 nearby with free parking onsite.

About the Role:

The Accounts Assistant role will involve:

• Taking responsibility for specified currency purchase ledgers including recording invoices and ensuring correct authorisation
• Processing sales invoices and uploading to accounting system, producing daily distributed reports
• Daily bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately
• Carrying out monthly supplier statements reconciliations
• Responsibility for posting cash to purchase and sales ledger and carrying out monthly reporting
• Preparing weekly payroll from wages sheets using Accounting systems
• Acting as a main point of contact for supplier queries
• Working closely with the Finance Director on other ad-hoc duties

Successful Applicant:

The successful applicant for the role of Accounts Assistant will:

• Have some experience in a previous Finance role with desire to develop a career in Finance
• Be AAT qualified or actively studying
• Confident in using MS Excel and Accounting Systems (Sage 50 preferred)
• Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Good attention to detail and a natural competency with numbers
• Be able to reliably commute to site
