Job Description

The qualified Finance Business Partner is a key part of the Finance team and will take responsibility for manaing one other junior team member (Accounts Assistant). This critical role will take responsiblity for providing accurate and timely information to the operational side of the business helping with business wide decision making. Working closely with the wider Finance team and external functions of the business, the role is suited to someone who is able to communicate effectively.

• Production and communication of quarter-end management accounts for all elements of the the portfolio
• Playing a key role in commercial deicison making for major expenditures
• Preparing and presenting quarterly analysis of P&L including variance analysis
• Co-ordination of financial reporting for portofolio performance against budgets and business plans
• Production and maintenance of KPI’s for reporting to senior management
• Managing weekly, quarterly and annual cash plans
• Production of expenditure and service charge, balance sheet in line with agreed SLA’s
• Business partner with a range of management stakeholders to understand performance vs budget, highlighting areas of concern, focus or potential improvement
• Develop models for revenue and capacity budgeting and forecasting, identifying areas of opportunity and risk against plan targets

The Successful Applicant:

The successful applicant for the role of Finance Business Partner will:

• Be a qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
• Have previous experience in a similar role or had experience in a role such as Management Accountant or Finance Analyst
• Highly analytical, and able to proficiently use Microsoft Excel
• Commercial mindest, and able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Previous experience of management of junior staff would be preferred
• Previous experience of budgeting and forecasting
